CASE STUDY: Antonino's Impossible Dream, Book Launch 

Create a buzz and generate sales.

Objective

Looking to break through the crowded field of children's book offerings, author Tim McGlen sought help in creating a buzz among his target audience, children ages 4-8 years old and their families, to launch and generate book sales for Antonino's Impossible Dream.

Strategy

The Hipsetter Group created a launch plan that showcased the pivotal elements of the book:  friendship, art and dreams.  Consumers submitted photos and notes about friendship and dreams through a social media hashtag campaign.  We took over an art museum for a day for the book launch party and created a ticketed event for the entire family featuring fun interactive games, art activities, performances, food and author book signings.  The Hipsetter Group secured sponsorships to underwrite a program for the author to give book readings and donate books to the Boys and Girls Club of America and the Nicklaus Hospital for Children in Miami.

Results

Within a few days of its launch, Antonino's Impossible Dream sold out on Amazon.com, on Barnes and Noble and Target.  A record breaking crowd attended the launch party for Antonino's Impossible Dream.  Miami Dade Public Library System chose the book for STAFF PICK 2019.
